***Reminder**: the game is still in development, as such much of the details of both in-game and real world economics are still in development. However the team are committed to designing a rich and deep economy with opportunities everywhere.*

The Council of the Six strived for a economy free from currency, despite their best efforts they couldn't completely solve the resource distribution problem. This means that currency is still used on Serra, and while basic needs are provided for everyone, luxury goods and upgrades still need to be earned.
